Tuesday’s Tip – How to ripen fruit in a hurry!

After fruit is picked it releases ethylene gas which causes it to begin ripening.  To accelerate the process simply put the fruit inside a paper bag to trap the ethylene gas.  If you’re really in a hurry, add an apple in the bag with your other fruit.  Apples release a lot of ethylene gas on their own!
