RE/MAX of Indiana is pleased to announce that Broker Associate Janet Barnett of RE/MAX Realty One in Kokomo has been presented the 2014 Indiana Realtor of the Year award by the Indiana Association of REALTORS® (IAR).
IAR recognized Barnett with this prestigious award for demonstrating extraordinary service to her community and for her outstanding achievements in the real estate industry.

The annual Realtor of the Year award is granted by a committee of IAR members from across the state that considers nominations made by 34 local REALTOR® associations in Indiana. The award is IAR’s highest honor recognizing members for their dedication to civic, business, and industry-related activities and achievements. Barnett brings more than 26 years of experience as a real estate professional, specializing in the marketing and sale of residential and commercial properties in Central Indiana.

In addition to her role as broker for RE/MAX, Barnett serves as president of the Affordable Housing Corporation of Grant County, vice president of the REALTORS® Association of Central Indiana and is a board member with the Community Foundation of Grant County. She is also former president of the Central Indiana Regional Multiple Listing Service.

Barnett and her husband James of 42 years live in Marion, Indiana and have three children and seven grandchildren.
