Kokomo Recognizes 20 Young Professionals Under 40

We would like to extend our congratulations to a member of our LeaderOne Financial family, Laura Stiner!

She has been honored with a Kokomo Young Profesional’s “20 under 40” award and we couldn’t be more proud of her!  This award recognizes young professionals making an impact in the community both professionally and personally.  Laura is the office manager and closing coordinator at LeaderOne Financial. She is a lifelong resident of  Kokomo along with husband, Troy, and their 2 daughters. She is truly a cheerleader and advocate for Kokomo and very deserving of this award.

When asked to share a key accomplishment or duty unique to her position at LeaderOne Financial ; Laura stated her duties include “Finalizing mortgage loans, I get to be the ‘good news giver’ and notify people when they are clear-to-close on their homes!  And in an office where volunteerism is merged with what we do daily, working at LeaderOne Financial allows me to give back to the community.  Whether it be through First Friday, our Give 1000 campaign or our annual LeaderOne “Hawgin’ the Block” fundraiser for Bridges Outreach, my job extends beyond the walls of 202 North Main Street.  See you at First Friday!”

When she was asked what she loves about Kokomo; she shared the following:
“Resiliency and perseverance.  Our auto sector was busted.  The revitalization of Downtown seemed like nothing more than a pipe dream.   We have weathered literal storms and natural disasters.  But our city bounces back after shock and stress every time, which makes it that much more exciting and fulfilling to see Kokomo on the path to reaching its potential!  Kokomo recognizes it has a responsibility to its citizens, and that unique amenities and resources will not only draw families and workers, but will retain the benevolent and hardworking people already calling Kokomo “home”.  Well there’s all of that, but I also love that living in Kokomo makes the Beach Boys’ song just that much better. ”
