How Much Assistance?
Hoosier Homes provides 4% of your first mortgage in standard areas or 5% in Targeted Areas (Plus) — here is what that looks like in real dollars and how Ryan & Steve size your cash to close.
Assistance is calculated as a percentage of your final first mortgage loan amount — not the purchase price.
Example: a $300,000 first mortgage at 5% Plus assistance = $15,000 toward down payment or closing costs.
Hoosier Homes assistance is flexible — Ryan and Steve allocate it where your file needs it most.
Standard Hoosier Homes (4%): Available when the property is in an approved participating Indiana county and meets program guidelines. County income limits apply.
Hoosier Homes Plus (5%): Requires the property address to fall within a designated Targeted Area census tract inside an approved county. Income limits may be waived in these areas.
Ryan and Steve verify the property address against program maps and the DASH reservation portal during loan registration — not after you are under contract.
